INSTITUTIONAL NETWORK STRUCTURE IN CITARUM WATERSHED MANAGEMENT

چکیده
To overcome the pollution of Citarum River, a comprehensive environmental management effort is needed and integrates various programs or activities from parties. This study will describe structure institutional network among institutions involved in watershed. The aspects studied are elements institution that enable to develop properly contained network, namely actors involved, distribution resources, opportunities for exchange, exchange relations, structure. research was conducted watershed area Sector 7, Bandung Regency, Baleendah District. Data were collected identified as results showed apart 7 Commander, consisted local/regional non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government agencies, local governments, academics, community. Each stakeholder plays role accordance with his position limits authority through involvement by Commander (Dansector) who coordinator quite dominant coordinating activities. In order achievements this program be sustainable, dominance must balanced strengthening community capacity avoid dependence on central programs.

Institutional mapping of Oregon coastal watershed management options
Institutional mapping is a technique that builds on the logic of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In GIS, coverages placed over a base map show spatial relations. Social institutions are more difficult to ‘‘map’’ physically. Institutional mapping uses three social coverages—scale, power, and capital. Four sets of institutions affecting watershed management—salmon restoration, water quality...
متن کاملNetwork structure and institutional complexity in an ecology of water management games
Social-ecological systems are governed by a complex of ecology of games featuring multiple actors, policy institutions, and issues, and not just single institutions operating in isolation. We update Long's (1958) ecology of games to analyze the coordinating roles of actors and institutions in the context of the ecology of water management games in San Francisco Bay, California. The ecology of g...
متن کاملInstitutionalising community-based watershed management in India: elements of institutional sustainability.
Community-based watershed management (CBWM) has gained prominence in developing world towards integrated resource management for livelihood enhancement of the poor, due to failure of large-scale river valley projects. This paradigm shift has enabled to narrow the divide between the state and community, and marks a beginning for the State towards a "learning organisation" that is adaptive to the...
متن کاملA neural network approach for the optimisation of watershed management
Managing a catchment for drinking water supply with a high proportion of agricultural land use is a difficult task if one has to maintain a reasonable balance between water quality demand and consequent restrictions for the farming industry. In this paper, we present a neural net-based method for finding good approximations to solutions of this problem. This method is capable of ‘inverting’ a h...
متن کاملGIS Application In Watershed Management
Traditionally watersheds were spatial extents that capture rainwater. Recently it has been identified that unless the watersheds are not managed in an integrated sustainable manner, then not only the water resources but also other resources such as vegetation, fertile soil, fauna and flora get depleted. Rational management of upper and lower parts of a watershed is equally important for the sus...
